SHANA - Iran Marine Industrial Company (SADRA) is building 10 offshore gas platforms of which 3 will be ready for installation by the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 20 2018.

Hessamodin Amiri, director of project control at Pars Oil and Gas Company, said the platforms are under construction for installation at phases 13, 14 and 22-24 of the offshore gas field.

He said by the end of the year at least one topside of the platforms will be ready for delivery to its offshore spot.

Moreover, the onshore utility facilities of phases 13 and 22-24 will come online by March 2018, he said.

Iran shares the gas field with Qatar in Persian Gulf waters.
