President leaves New York for Tehran

president.ir- After attending and addressing the United Nations General Assembly, President Rouhani left New York for Tehran Wednesday evening local time.

Dr Hassan Rouhani arrived in New York on Sunday evening, on the first day of his visit and had a cordial meeting with Iranians residing in the United States, and told them that all Iranians were needed to build the Islamic Iran, and the Iranian people living abroad were cultural, scientific, economic and political ambassadors of Iran.

The president's program continued on Monday morning with an interview with the CNN television channel and continued with the meeting with the President of Bolivia, the United Nations Secretary-General, the Prime Minister of Sweden, the French President and the President of Austria. At the end of the day, he had a meeting with the US foreign policy elites.

The president also had a meeting with US media directors on Tuesday morning, after which he had an exclusive interview with the NBC, and then met with the Prime Minister of Japan and the President of Bulgaria, and participated in the meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Myanmar.

On Tuesday evening after meeting with the prime ministers of Pakistan, Norway and Belgium, the president, attended a cordial meeting with US Muslim leaders, which ended with the Maghrib and Isha prayers and dinner.

The president met with the British Prime Minister on Wednesday morning and then addressed the United Nations General Assembly.

All of Dr Rouhani's bilateral meetings, with the exception of the meeting with the British Prime Minister that took place at UN headquarters, were held at the hotel where he was staying.

The end of the Wednesday program was attending a press conference, and immediately afterwards, the president and his accompanying delegation left for New York's John F. Kennedy airport to return to Tehran on an almost 14-hour flight.
