Senior Commander: IRGC to display new rockets in Friday parades
FNA- A senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' Ground Force announced that the IRGC will display the latest state-of-the-art home-made products, including new rockets and updated artillery systems, in the military parades on Friday.

"The parades will be staged with the participation of military and government officials, commanders of the army, IRGC and other Armed Forces, where the Armed Forces will display a part of their capabilities," Deputy IRGC Ground Force Commander for Coordination Brigadier General Ali Akbar Pourjamshidian said on Monday.

He added that the IRGC will also display its latest products, including new rockets with precise launching systems and artillery systems which have been updated.

Iran in April displayed for the first time the latest version of Sayyad (Hunter) 3 missiles used in the country's air defense systems during the nationwide Army Day parades.

Various units of the Islamic Republic Army participated in the nationwide parades today to display the latest military and defense achievements made by Iranian experts, including the high-precision striking Sayyad 3 missiles.

Commander of Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmayeeli had announced in 2014 that Iran has designed a new powerful and high-precision missile dubbed 'Sayyad 3' to be mounted on its long-range S-200 anti-aircraft system.

"We have designed 'Sayyad 3' missiles for the long-range S-200 air defense system," Brigadier General Esmayeeli told reporters at the time.

He further stated that Iranian experts have also increased the precision capability of 'Sayyad 2' missiles to a considerable degree.

The Iranian defense ministry in November 2013 inaugurated the production line of Sayyad 2.
