Press TV - The national Iranian cadet Greco-Roman wrestling team has finished as the overall vice champion of the 2017 Cadet World Championships�in Greece.
On Wednesday evening, Mehran Seyed Jafar Saadatifard defeated Hungarian representative Istvan Takacs 2-0, and snatched a gold medal for Iran in the final bout of the 76-kilogram weight category at the Ano Liosia Olympic Hall in the Greek capital city of Athens.
Mohammad Ghorbanali Nosrati also stood on the�bronze podium�in the 85-kilogram class.
Earlier, Mohsen Fathollah Madhani had clinched Iran�s first world cadet gold medal in the 58-kilogram weight section.
Mostafa Kayed Khordeh also added a silver medal to Iran's�tally at the sporting event in the 63-kilogram weight division.
Moreover, Seyyed Mojtaba Seyyed Mostafa Hosseini downed Kantemir Shibzukhov from Russia 6-2�in the bronze medal contest.
The Russian cadet Greco-Roman wrestling team collected 64 points and was named the top-ranked squad.
The Persians claimed the second place with 50 points, and third-place Ukrainians got 49 points�at the high-status international tournament.
The 2017 Cadet World Championships�started on September 4 and will wrap up on September 10.
