IRNA - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia and Pacific Affairs described Iran and Indonesia as symbol of moderate Islam in the world. Ebrahim Rahimpour made the remarks Monday in a ceremony held to mark Indonesia's 72nd Independence Anniversary which was held in Tehran's Milad Tower. Rahimpour who has attended the meeting as a special guest deplored violence and extremism in the name of Islam. He expressed congratulations over Indonesia National Day. Rahimpour also pointed to Indonesia resistance on Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). Iranian deputy FM appreciated both countries' constructive cooperation in bilateral, regional and international fields.
