IRNA -- After creating rapid response units, Iranian Army's Ground Forces increased its combat and defensive preparedness, Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces said.

Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari made the remarks Saturday in a meeting with the Army commanders.

He pointed to efforts to promote efficiency of units to fulfill operational needs as objectives of Army Ground Forces.

Other components of Ground Forces are to address regional threats by boosting combat preparedness.
