Fate of Ab Teymour, Mansouri oilfields determined by 2018: Dep. Min.

SHANA - Deputy Petroleum Minister Amir Hossein Zamaninia said the fate of Ab Teymour and Manousir onshore oilfields will be determined by 2018.

Speaking following a meeting of Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh with visiting Indonesian Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Binsar Panjaitan on Sunday, the official said the Rouhani Administration and the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum are keen on enhancing energy ties with Indonesia.

He said financial and banking issues regarding energy cooperation by the two countries were discussed during the meeting and a delegation from Iran's central bank will leave Tehran for Jakarta next week for pursuing talks on promoting banking ties with Indonesia.

He said Iran currently exports crude oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Indonesia, adding banking relations are of utmost importance to Iran in dealing with Indonesia.

Zamaninia, who is Mr. Zangeneh's deputy for international affairs and trading, further told Shana that Indonesia's Pertamina has offered Iran a master development plan for developing Ab Teymour and Mansouri oilfields which being considered by National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).

"Iran has signed agreements with a number of other companies for developing the fields," he added.

"Enhancing oil recovery from the two fields is of great importance to Iran," the official added.

Pertamina will send a delegation to Tehran for holding talks with NIOC officials regarding development of the two fields in the near future.

Besides Pertamina, Russia's Lukoil and Iran's MPNA have signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) for developing the projects.
