Head of Hajj Organization to visit S.Arabia for coordination

IRNA Head of Irans Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization is to leave here for Saudi Arabia on Saturday for further coordination with the country's authorities on the safety of the Iranian pilgrims.

Acting Deputy Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Nasrollah Farahmand told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that Hamid Mohammadi will head a delegation to Saudi Arabia for more coordination on Iranians' Hajj pilgrimage, adding that all the agreed conditions have been observed by the Saudi side so far.

86,500 Iranian pilgrims are to be dispatched to Saudi Arabia to perform this year's Hajj rituals, after a one-year pause which was due to lack of guarantee from the Saudi officials on the pilgrims safety.

Farahmand earlier today declared that the process of issuing electronic visas for Iranian pilgrims of Hajj 2017 has started.

The first group of pilgrims would be dispatched to Hajj on July 31 from Imam Khomeini Airport to Saudi Arabia, he added.
