IRNA French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on Thursday night described meeting with Mohammad Javad Zarif as essential, saying that his country will continue talks with Iran.
Releasing exclusive photos on meetings with Zarif, he wrote on his tweet page that this was his first meeting with his Iranian counterpart.
He also underlined that the meeting was necessary and he will continue path of dialogue.
Earlier, Zarif conferred with President of the Senate of France Gerard Larcher late on Thursday.
During the meeting, Larcher said that France attaches great significance to its ties with Iran and is willing to have regular consultations with Iran over regional developments.
Zarif arrived in Paris from Rome on an official visit for talks with the countrys high-ranking officials.
