Iran's slap in ISIS face echoed in global media

IRNA World media have admitted Irans power in fighting agaisnt terrorism after the recent missile attack on ISIS positions in Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.


Islamic Revolution Guars Corps (IRGC) announced Sunday night that it had carried out a missile attack against the headquarters and logistics of the Takfiri terrorists in Deir Ez-Zor, the largest city in eastern Syria, to punish perpetrators of recent terror attacks in Tehran.

After the Takfiri terrorists June 7 attacks in Tehran which left 18 killed and dozens more wounded, the IRGC had announced that the spilling of innocent blood will not go unanswered

During the operation, a number of ground-to- ground mid-range missiles targeted Takfiri terrorists from IRGCs bases in Kermanshah and Kurdestan provinces, western Iran.

The measure taken by Iran has been echoed by international media.

CNN Media Company in a report on Irans strike said, The missile strikes are the first reported ground-to-ground attack from Iran into Syria since the Arab country descended into a civil war in 2011 and represent a major escalation of Iran's role in the war in Syria.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on its official news website, Sepah News, that several 'ground-to-ground, mid-range missiles' were fired from bases in Kermanshah province, western Iran.

The operation targeted Takfiri forces in the Deir Ezzor region in Eastern Syria.'

Meanwhile, Sky News and France news agency pointed to Irans attack on Daesh, saying it aimed at punishing those terrorist who stormed Irans parliament and Imam Khomeini Holy Shrine on June 7.

Soon after Iran strike on terrorists in eastern Syria, some 39 news items were released on Russian media.

'A missile strike on militants' positions is a warning to terrorists. In case if attacks on Iran continue, the flame of our justifiable anger will burn terrorists to ashes,' Sputnik quoted the Revolutionary Guards as saying in a statement.

Russia Today also quoted Iranian media saying 'The spilling of any innocent blood will not go unanswered.

Irans missile attack was also reflected in Turkish, Iraqi, Lebanese and Chinese media.
