IRNA - The Iranian workers judo squad ranked first on Thursday in the 5th World Sports Games in Riga, Latvia held by the International Workers and Amateurs in Sports Confederation (CSIT).


The Iranian sportsmen managed to snatch eight medals including six gold, one silver and one bronze medals in the competitions.

The competition opened in Riga on June 13 and would be wrapped up on June 18.

At least 195 coaches are accompanying the Iranian workers squad which includes 19 teams in 11 sport fields.
