MNA � A cell consisting seven terrorists with massive amounts of explosives was dismantled in Chabahar, southeast of Iran, Spokesman for Sistan and Baluchestan Security Council said Thursday.


According to Ali Asghar Mirshekari, the terrorist cell belonging to �Ansar Al-Furqan� � �a terrorist organization with ties to Al-Nusra Front and Jaish ul-Adl � were dismantled on Wednesday at 17:30 during a timely operation by intelligence forces and the police.

The cell which had been planning to carry out terrorist and suicide attacks in some regions inside Iran consisted of seven terrorists, two of whom were killed during the intelligence operation and the remaining five were arrested.

According to Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi, three of the arrested terrorists are of Iranian national and the two others from neighboring countries.

Mirshekari added that during the cleaning operation at the terrorists� safe house, a number of small arms, war ammunition, suicide vests and explosives were discovered and confiscated.

Mirshekari noted that these terrorist groups enjoy financial and ideological support from Saudi Arabia.

He also called on Pakistan to prevent terrorists from using its soil to launch attacks against Iran; �such moves hurt the principle of good neighborliness and developing relations between the two countries,� he added.
