Not reaching the ideals of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, Daesh Takfiri terrorists have wishfully tried to push through their goals by committing terrorist acts, Falahatpisheh added.

Iran is the main goal of the terrorist group in the region, the Iranian lawmaker said, stressing by Tehran twin attacks, Daesh intended to convey the message that they hurt Irans political and security power.

He went on to say that but, the recent deadly terror attacks furthered the unity of the Muslim nation of Iran.

Last Wednesday, gunmen stormed IransParliament(Majlis)and the mausoleum ofthe late founder of the Islamic RepublicImam Khomeini in two coordinated attacks where at least 17 people were killed and around 50 injured.

Both attacks were, however, foiled by the Iranian security forces, who arrived on the scene in no time and prevented the terrorists from gaining access to the sensitive parts of the two complexes.

The Takfiri Daesh terrorist group claimed responsibility for the near-simultaneous assaults.

Irans Intelligence Ministry later identified the five terrorists involved in the attacks, saying they had a history of past terrorist activities and were linked to Wahhabi and Takfiri groups.
