MNA An official of Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line (IRISL) announced that Poland is willing to buy whole trout output weighing 1.1 kg produced in Iran's Caspian Sea.
Aquaculture Deputy of Gilan's Fisheries Organization Ahmad Ghana'at Parast said 15 thousand tons of fish is annually caught from the Caspian Sea, which is set to reach 45 tons in cages in the Caspian Sea by the end of the sixth National Development Plan.
He pointed to the production of 30 thousand tons of fish in inland waters of Gilan province in 2016, saying aquaculture production should reach 130 thousand tons by 2021.
He also announced planning to produce 170 thousand tons of aquaculture in Mazandaran province waters in future, and accordingly a total of 300 thousand tons of aquaculture will be produced in Gilan and Mazandaran provinces in 2021.
Ghana'at Parast also referred to Russia as Iran's aquatic export target, saying Iran highly regards the Eurasian countries to export fish and provide likely 50-tons shortage within 13 years.
