FNA- Iranian and Chinese officials in a meeting in Beijing discussed broadening of media cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting in the Chinese capital on Monday evening, Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Abdolali Aliasgari and Director-General of China's state-run television network, China Central Television (CCTV) Nie Chenxi explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating bilateral ties, specially in the field of media.
The meeting was also attended by Iranian Ambassador to Beijing Ali Asqar Khaji.
The two sides explored ways for increasing bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness to share experiences in this regard.
The IRIB head, who is visiting China to participate in the 14th Asia Media Summit (AMS), said that the organization of which he is in charge is ready to cooperate with different sectors of the Chinese broadcasting organization.
The summit is to be held on June 6-8 in Qingdao city.
In relevant remarks earlier in May, Chinese Finance Minister Xiao Jie in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ali Tayyebnia in Beijing underlined that Iran can play an important role in the revival of the Silk Road.
During the meeting in the Chinese capital, Xiao said Iran has played an active role in various projects and also helped with the implementation of many projects in other countries.
The Iranian and Chinese ministers of economy and finance met on the sidelines of New Silk Road summit in Beijing to discuss economic cooperation and help remove the existing obstacles.
The two sides discussed Chinese banks financing of Irans infrastructure projects as introduced to them by the Iranian side.
