IRNA Former nuclear negotiator and incumbent Iranian Ambassador to the UK Hamid Baeedinejad said a report by the International Crisis Group released in May 2014 shows success of Iran in nuclear talks with G5+1.
He made the remarks in a message, released in its Instagram account.
The International Crisis Group report is a brilliant document which proves that the nuclear negotiators efforts have been fruitful and it has secured Irans national interests, Baeedinejad added.
The official referred to circulation of a clip in the cyberspace which tries to prove that the content of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached between Iran and G5+1 (US, UK, Russia, China, France plus Germany) in 2015 is a copy of a draft written by the US Department of State two years before the deal.
The clip has allegedly used a report by the International Crisis Group to prove the idea that the two years long nuclear talks was only a show to deceive the public opinion, Baeedinejad added.
He rejected the clip story, adding that the content of three and a half page report released by the International Crisis Group in May 2014 is not similar to 170 page JCPOA document.
In fact, there are many differences between the text of JCPOA and the International Crisis Group report, the envoy added.
He referred to removal of Iran sanctions in oil, gas, petrochemicals and shipping fields immediately after the deal, and said that the International Crisis Group report underlines gradual lifting of Iran sanctions in the above mentioned areas in 10 year period.
We are concerned groups in Iran are opposed to moderate policies of President Hassan Rouhani and resort to all means to question the nuclear deal.
