IRNA - Iraq has cooperation with Iran Health Ministry at highest level and the two states are continuously exchanging delegates, Health Minister of Iraq Adileh Hamoud Hossein said on Thursday.
Speaking to IRNA, Hamoud Hossein thanked Iran Health Ministry support for Iraq in the fight against terrorism.
The official pointed to Iranian Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi's recent visit to Iraq (April 2017) and said that the two sides agreed on a scheduled time table for implementation of the previously inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two capitals.
There are widespread grounds for cooperation between the two countries' health sectors and the previously signed MoU would promote bilateral cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad in fields of medical training as well as medicine and treatment of patients, the Iraqi health minister added.
Highlighted Irans role in helping Iraq in the critical conditions, she said, Our Iranian brothers have been always beside us in difficult situations.
Irans Health Ministry spared no effort to help Iraq whenever needed, said the Iraqi health minister.
