Iran-China 1st techno-science symposium opened in Beijing
May24, The Iran Project The first scientific symposium of Iran and China, aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in Silk Road Scientific Fund opened Wednesday in thecapital cityof Beijing.

Speaking to a reporter, Mohammad Talib, executive secretary of Iran-Chinas techno-science symposium said the scientific meeting is held based on the agreement signed between Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology, Sorena Sattari and Bai Chunli,president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) in 2016.

According to the MoU which was inked to establish the joint Silk Road Scientific Fund, Iran and China decided to enhance their cooperation in various fields of technology, Talib noted.

He went on to say that in the first year of the Fund establishment, 10 projects were chosen for Iran-Chinas joint venture, adding the two-day scientific symposium is the first project entitled "The convergence of nanotechnology and biotechnology: New methods for the treatment of cancer and brain damage diseases" that has been started in Nano Center in Beijing.

Conferring on different areas of bilateral cooperation between Iran and China, participants will also discuss the two countries latest scientific achievements in this scientific meeting, he stated.

The first techno-science symposium of Iran and China, chaired by Guangjun Nie, a professor at National Center for Nanoscience and Technology,PR China and Mohammad Taghi Mohammadi, faculty member of Irans Baqiyatallah University, held in thecapital cityof Beijing on May 24.
