SHANA- Ukraine's Ambassador to Iran Serhii Burdyliak said Iran and Ukraine can cooperate in energy grounds.
Speaking on the sidelines of a conference on Iran-Ukraine Cooperation in heavy industries in Tehran, Burdyliak said a strategic plan for cooperation of Tehran and Kiev in energy and exchange of goods has been provided.
He said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has offered the plan which requires Ukraine to guarantee security of goods supply from Iran; likewise the plan needs Iran to ensure energy supply to Ukraine for its part.
In the past Russia enjoyed an energy supply monopoly in Ukraine, he said, but things have changed a lot and Ukraine makes an unparalleled opportunity for Iran to supply natural gas, crude oil and petroleum products to the country.
