ISNA Iranian ambassador to Vienna Ebadollah Molaei announced Iran-Austria trade volume has increased three-fold.
Irans exports to Austria have significantly increased. The trade volume between the two countries stood at 121 million euros in the first two months of 2017 as compared to 34 million euros in 2016, Molaei said in an exclusive interview with ISNA.
He emphasized that there were more capacities for developing economic relations despite the increase.
Austrian financial minister and governor of central bank along with a number of high-ranking officials of the countrys banks will visit Tehran in near future, he also announced.
In the political field, I should tell you that diplomatic consultations between the two countries foreign ministries will continue at the level of foreign ministers and their deputies. The development of cooperation between the various ministries, holding the third round of joint consulate summit, joint study and research round table, 7th round of interfaith dialogue and expansion of tourism, cultural, academic and media collaboration are on the agenda, Molaei said.
Currently 18 direct flights a week have been established between Iran and Austria. From these three flights take place between Vienna and Isfahan and it is expected three flights between Vienna and Shiraz establish in near future. Direct flight between Vienna and Mashhad and a flight from Tehran to Vienna are under consideration, he added.
