Iran, China en route for joint venture

May 8, The Iran Project Members of Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce have stressed China's investment in Iran with the aim of creating jobs.

At a business meeting with a delegation of China's oil and gas activists in Iran's Chamber of Commerce on Monday, the head of Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce Asadollah Asgaroladi said Tehran and Beijing have long had great trade, social and cultural ties.

Asgaroladi emphasized on the joint venture between Iran and China, and referred to banking problems and visa issuance as the most important obstacles to the development of bilateral relations.

China Department of Commerce's Deputy Director, for his part, pointed to Beijing's considerable progress in gas and oil fields and expressed hope that Chinese economic activists, visiting Iran Oil Show 2017, sign proper agreements with their Iranian counterparts.

Also, referring to oil and gas as the basis of two countries' trade relations, Majid-Reza Hariri, deputy head of Iran-China chamber of commerce said 60 percent of economic exchanges between Iran and China is based on oil and gas.

Hariri stressed Iran-China's joint venture as the main factor for the development of the two countries relations.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he referred to the rich human sources in Iran, calling on Chinese economic activists to help create jobs to tackle unemployment issue in the country.

The 22nd Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2017) kicked off at Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds on Saturday (May 6).

During the four-day event some 2500 domestic companies and 1500 foreign participants from 37 countries including China, Germany, South Korea, Austria, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Britain, the U.S. and Canada are showcasing their latest products and achievements in oil, gas, refining and petrochemical sectors.
