Oil show key in realizing 2nd Iran petchem leap

Shana Managing Director of National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NPC) Marziyeh Shahdaei says Iran Oil Show 2017 is instrumental in realization of the second giant leap of the country's petrochemical industry.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 22nd Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show-2017) on Sunday, the official said NPC has initiated serious talks with leading chemical and international companies during the fair.
She said the talks are aimed at technology transfer and financing of petrochemical projects in Iran.

Shahdaei, who is also deputy petroleum minister in petrochemical affairs, further said NPC has also held talks with representatives of Spanish energy and petrochemical companies for financing projects in Iran.
The showcase is being held with 4,000 exhibitors from across the globe running 1,800 pavilions.

1,016 pavilions are representing 2,500 Iranian firms while 811 other pavilions represent nearly 1,500 foreign companies from 37 countries.
Exhibitors from China, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Russia, Japan, Austria, South Korea, the US, and Australia are running stalls at the 4-day showcase, he added.
