MNA Iran's new Ambassador to Damascus Javad Torkabadi met with Syrias President Bashar Assad on Tuesday to present his letter of credence signed by President Rouhani of Iran.

On delivering his credentials, Mr. Torkabadi highlighted the historical ties and strategic cooperation between the countries and reaffirmed the determination and the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to broaden and deepen bilateral cooperation in all areas.
