IRNA Visiting Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan held separate meetings with his Serbian and Venezuelan counterparts here on Wednesday.
The meetings were held on the sidelines of the 6th Conference on International Security currently underway in Moscow.
Dehqan and his Serbian counterpart Zoran Djordjevic reviewed the latest regional and international developments.
The two ministers also called for reinforcement of military cooperation between Iran and Serbia.
Meanwhile, Dehqan and his Venezuelan counterpart Vladimir Padrino Lpez expressed the need for expanding defense cooperation between the two countries.
Dehqan arrived in Moscow on Tuesday (April 25) to take part in the 6th Conference on International Security and a trilateral meeting with his Russian and Syrian counterparts.
He is also slated to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu on bilateral, regional and international issues.
The 6th Moscow Conference on International Security will begin on Wednesday, attended by high-ranking defense delegations and experts from various countries.
Dehghan, heading the Iranian delegation, will also meet and hold talks with his counterparts on important regional issues and those of mutual interest.
The conference would provide defense officials of participating countries with the opportunity to consult on defense and security issues.
Moreover, Irans presence in the forum, the main goal of which is combating terrorism, will be an indication of the two countries' resolve for bilateral defense cooperation and growing regional convergence as they have taken common anti-terror strategies in the Middle East.
