IRNA The Council of Guardians of the Constitution is examining the qualifications of the Iranian presidential candidates today.
The Guardians Council spokesman, Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei, wrote the news on his personal Telegram channel and refuted the hearsay about the elections and examination of the candidates qualifications of the upcoming presidential election.
The coming Thursday, April 20, will be the legal deadline for the examination. The Council can extend the period for another five days if necessary.
The final decision about the qualifications of the election will be publicly announced on April 26.
The presidential election campaigns will go on for 20 days. And the election will be held on May 19.
