IRNA The Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Kyrgyz counterpart Erlan Abdyldaev met on Wednesdy to probe the ways to expand bilateral ties.
In the beginning of the meeting, Abdyldaev called the expansion of the relations between Iran and Kyrgyzstan a necessity.
Before the meeting, in a lecture at Iran-Kyrgyzstan economic forum, Zarif said that Iran does not consider any ceilings for relations with Kyrgyzstan and is ready to cooperate in every field, including advanced technology and science, construction, agriculture, mining, etc.
He also had a meeting with Almazbek Atambayev, the President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan before the meeting with his counterpart.
Zarif is going to have negotiations with the Kyrgyz Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov, hold a press conference, take part at a lunch banquet with his Kyrgyz counterpart, as well.
Zarif has been visiting three countries of Turkmenistan, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of his counterparts and on occasion of the 25th independence anniversary of these three countries. An economic and industrial delegation from both public and private sectors are accompanying the minister during this tour.
Iranian foreign minister is scheduled to attend a joint press conference and a lunch banquet with his Kyrgyz counterpart.
Zarif at the end of his one-day visit to Georgia and holding talks with senior officials of the country departed Tbilisi for Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Tuesday evening.
Zarif arrived in Tbilisi on Monday evening and held talks with his Georgian counterpart Mikhail Janelidze on Tuesday morning.
During his one-day stay in Tbilisi, Zarif met and discussed issues of mutual interests with President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Gakharia.
