Iran to attend Silk Road Conference

IRNA A high-rank mission from Iran is going to attend the International Silk Road Conference in Beijing on May 14, 15.


The conference will be held with participation of 28 heads of states, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, 100 ministers, 80 authorities of international organizations, and 200 representatives from different countries and regions, said the Chinese foreign minister on Wednesday.

According to the reports, Iran will take part in the conference with a high-rank delegation.

Xi Jinping, the President of the People's Republic of China, considered the designer of the modern Silk Road plan, is to give a speech in the opening ceremony of the International Silk Road Conference. He has predicted that after a decade the Silk Road is revived, $ 2500b worth trade will be done through this road.

The Silk Road will encircle 3 billion people in one common market.

The May conference is the biggest since it was first suggested by Xi Jinping in 2013.
