Telecompaper - Slovenian telecommunications equipment manufacturer Iskratel has won EUR 36 million in contracts in Iran. With the Telecommunication Company of Iran (TCI) Iskratel signed a cooperation agreement worth EUR 15 million. In addition, the company has also signed an additional contract with TCI worth EUR 21 million. Iskratel will provide broadband access to users in seven Iranian provinces as part of a modernization of access networks, mostly with GPON optical technology. Iskratel will also supply the national operator with terminal equipment and software.
