IRNA -- Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif departed Tehran for Ashgabat at the head of a politico-economic delegation on Sunday afternoon.
Zarif is to visit Turkmenistan, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of his counterparts from these three Central Asian countries.
Representatives from 30 economic companies, industrial and banking institutes are accompanying Zarif in this tour.
Attending the 25th anniversary of beginning of political relations between Islamic Republic of Iran and these three republics is among goals of this tour.
In addition to political and economic consultations between officials, joint economic meetings will be held between representatives of institutes and companies of the countries.
