Sputnik News- Turkey has requested a closed-doors meeting in Iran next week to conceal its stance ahead of the next round of Astana negotiations, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad told Sputnik on Monday.
The Tehran talks are scheduled forApril 18-19, followed bythe May 3-4 talks inthe Kazakh capital.
"The Turkish government asked the organizers ofthe meeting not toallow the press, likely so that it did not know the position ofthe Turkish government," Mekdad said.
