Culture Minister calls on Algerian Ulama to join Iranian peers fight terrorism

IRNA The Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance during his meeting with the Algerian authorities has called for a meeting between the Iranian and Algerian religious scholars to deliberate on finding a way to address activities by the Takfiri and extremist groups.

Through holding such a meeting the two countries could generate new prospects to do away with the present problems faced by the Islamic World, Reza Salehi-Amiri said on Tuesday after a meeting with Abou Abdullah Ghlamallah, head of Algerias High Islamic Council.

Iran and Algeria, in addition to their deep cultural relations, hold a common view on the fight against terrorism, he said.

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said that the West is not going to help Muslim nations end the crises they face today.

They are the Muslim nations themselves that can put an end to the current crises and they should join hands to address their problems by relying on their own resources, Salehi-Amiri said.
