AMN- The Iraqi Prime MInister is set to visit Washington this month to meet with US President Donald Trump, the White House said.
The arrival of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi comes us tensions between Washington and Baghdad emerged as Trump introduced a travel ban on Iraqis from visiting the United States. This was later revoked as Trump deemed Iraq as cooperating in the fight against ISIS.
The Iraqi foreign ministry expresses its deep satisfaction with the executive order issued by President Donald Trump which includes an exemption for Iraqis from the ban on travel to the United States of America, said Ahmed Jamal, the spokesman for Iraqs Foreign Ministry.
Meanwhile however, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer made the announcement that the Iraqi Prime Minister would arrive during a regular news briefing on Tuesday.
