IRNA Slovakian Deputy Prime Minister for Investment Affairs Peter Pellegrini said here on Tuesday that Iran is one of the strongest economics of the Middle East with plenty of economic opportunities.

Pellegrini expressed hope that volume of trade grew rapidly, because Slovakia enjoys the most stable economy in the European Union.

He added that Slovakia welcomes investment by Iranian companies and said his country is ready for cooperation with Iran to prepare suitable ground for joint venture projects.

Pellegrini said Slovakia has advanced auto industries, electricity engineering services, information technology, communication and software and bilateral cooperation may be helpful for both nations.

Slovakian senior trade delegation with presence of representatives of 35 private sector companies, headed by the Deputy Prime Minister for investment affairs, Peter Pellegrini, is in Tehran to discuss and consider issues of mutual interest.

Minister of Finance Peter Kazimir and Minister of Economy, Peter Ziga, are accompanying the Slovakian delegation in the trip.

Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade, Mansur Moazami, is to have a meeting with Slovakian delegation at the Industrial Development & Renovation Organization (IDRO) building in Tehran and discuss ways to increase industrial cooperation between the two countries.

The Slovakian delegation is to consider bilateral future cooperation in the fields of energy, oil, gas, transport, wagon construction, financial issues, and information technology.

Iran and Slovakia signed two MoUs past year for more investment and double tax elimination.
