ISNA The Iranian film Lantouri directed by Reza Dormishian at its latest international presence won the best film award in the 16th Istanbul Independent Film Festival, February 16-26, in Turkey.
The final stage of Istanbul Independent Film Festival, which is one of the most important Turkeys art events and focuses on art and experimental world cinema, was granting the best film award to Lantouri.
Lantouri as the only representative of Irans cinema competed with movies from the US, Germany, Egypt, Emirate, UK, Thailand, France, Qatar, the Netherlands, Argentina, Peru and Canada in the Inspired International Competition section of the event.
The film has so far attended many international film festivals including 2016 Berlin, Fajr, Shanghai, Karlovy Vary, Vancouver, and Stockholm and won several awards.
The cast includes Navid Mohammadzadeh, Maryam Palizban, Baran Kosari, Mehdi Kooshki, Bahram Afshari, Reza Behboudi, Behnaz Jafari, Nader Fallah, and Behrang Alavi among others.
