IRNA Tehrans interim Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Kazem Seddiqi said that the Iranian military force is the 7th strong force in the world.
Ayatollah Seddiqi made the remarks while addressing a large crowd of worshippers in the Iranian capital.
Referring to a recent remarks by an EU official who claimed that without Iran's landmark nuclear deal, the outbreak of a war was inevitable, the Ayatollah said, This is a big lie because if the hegemonic world is not in a war with us, it is because they have no power to do it.
They have examined us over the course of the eight-year Sacred Defense (1980-88 Iran-Iraq war) and they know that the Iranian nation stands to the end, the Ayatollah said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Seddiqi hailed massive turnout of the Iranian people in the nationwide rallies on Feb 10 to commemorate the 38th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
He cited remarks by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei who had predicted that peoples huge turnout on Feb 10 rallies will give a strong response to anti-Iran threats by the US President Donald Trump.
Pointing to major regional developments, including the present situation in Bahrain, the cleric said, 'People of Bahrain do not accept dictatorship and are seeking independence. This is not a big demand.'
He added that the 'child-killer regime of Saudi Arabia that bombs medical centers must know that oppression will not last forever.'
