Book released on Iranian Leader's Nuclear Fatwa under International Law

FNA- A new book has recently been released by the Supreme Century publications in California on Iranian Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei's "Nuclear Fatwa under International Law".

The "Nuclear Fatwa under International Law" book provides an international legal analysis of the most significant considerations regarding the Iranian leader's Nuclear Fatwa and tries to illustrate its status and capacities from the perspective of international law.

Addressing these legal tenets in their religious and domestic context, the book aims to clarify how the relevant sources of international law - including Non-proliferation Treaty, Statement of Principles applicable to Formation of general customary international law, Guiding Principles applicable to unilateral declarations of States capable of creating legal obligations and general Principles of international law - should be properly interpreted in the context of the Nuclear Fatwa.

It provides an instructional case study of the application of these sources of international law, the fundamentals which can be applied to expound both the legally and religiously misconceptions surrounding the nuclear fatwa. Some questions raised regard the watershed historical issuance of nuclear fatwa by grand Ayatollah Khamenei and its internationally legal authenticity.

The answers will be of interests to academics, as well as to anyone who is interested in understanding international law's application to this sensitive dispute in international relations. Referring to the original Islamic international law sources, as well as the Iranian domestic law rules including the Constitution are the other distinguishing features of this work.

The author, Jaber Seyvanizad, is a young international jurist serving in Iranian universities as international law lecturer.

He has previously worked as a researcher in International Law Institute. He gained his LL.B in 2011 and met his LL.M with distinction in 2015 and presently is a teaching assistant at university.

In his recent researches, he concentrated on engineering of international legal mechanisms in favor of global maintenance of justice-based peace and security and works on his own theory called Reflexism concerning the modern international law fundamentals.

He has studied in seminary and is an expert in Islamic law. Jaber is a polyglot and in addition of Persian, knows foreign languages including English, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish and German.
