IRNA Managing Director of Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) announced that over 20 million tons of mercantile has been transacted in the current Iranian year.
We have transacted over 22 million tons of mercantile in Iran Mercantile Exchange this year, Hamed Soltaninejad said on Sunday, addressing a ceremony in the city of Mashhad in the Northeastern part of the country.
He pointed to the activities of four bourses, including Tehran bourse, Fara-bourse, mercantile bourse and energy bourse, and said, Industrial, mining, agriculture, petrochemical, gold and other products are currently being exchanges in mercantile bourse.
The IME was established on September 20, 2007 in accordance with article 95 of the new law of the Securities Market of the Islamic Republic of Iran and following the merger of the agricultural and metal exchanges of Tehran.
The merger marked a new chapter in Iran capital market providing endless trading opportunities for the clients in and out of the country.
