MNA � French FM Jean-Marc Ayrault said since the implementation of nuclear deal, trade transactions between Iran and France have increased up to 200 per cent.


French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in Tehran on Tuesday.

The two sides deemed the level of trade ties between Tehran and Paris satisfactory, calling for further expansion of relations in scientific and cultural fields as well.

�My belief is that our bilateral relations have hit a new high level,� Ayrault said adding �a large number of French economic actors were present during Iran-France joint economic commission�s meeting on Tuesday and I realized there that there are ample opportunities for cooperation between the two counties.�

He then praised the nuclear deal, adding �the agreement is not only a stabilizing factor in the region but across the whole international sphere, and can offer new perspectives �for settling issues in other countries such as Syria.�

Ayrault referred to the recent executive order signed by Donald Trump on immigration ban, adding �the new government of the US and the visa ban for some Islamic countries have caused us certain concerns and a series of disturbances and damage to the rights of refugees.�

He went on to stress that the US�s move was unacceptable to France, hoping that rationality would return to dominate decision-making again.

�The US government has not made a clear stance toward the nuclear deal as of yet, but we are hoping that Trump�s presidential vows will never come into effect.�

He further extended support for a political solution to Syria and voiced regret and concern over the dire situation in Yemen.
