IRNA Head of Iran-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group, Parvaneh Salahshouri, said on Monday that Iran is ready for cooperation with Italy.
Salahshouri said the two sides can cooperate in promoting tourism industry, holding artistic and cultural exhibitions in the either country and boosting cooperation to promote cultural and historic monuments.
In a meeting with Italian Ambassador to Iran Mauro Konchater on Monday, she referred to the two countries rich culture and civilizations, saying that history of bilateral ties has always been a suitable ground for mutual cooperation.

counterpart, saying that parliamentary cooperation will help strengthen the two countries relations in various sectors.
Majlis welcomes further enhancement of Tehran-Rome relations, she said, noting that cultural cooperation is a suitable ground for further acquaintance of the two nations with each other.
Konchater, for his part, expressed pleasure with the establishment of Iran-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group, saying that Italian parliament welcomes developing ties with Irans Majlis in all fields.
He further noted that Italian Embassy has put exchange of parliamentary delegations on its agenda and considers such as move beneficial for bilateral ties.
Referring to potential areas of cooperation between the two countries, he said good dialogues have been made on promoting political and economic cooperation between the two nations.
Italy is prepared for boosting cultural ties and promoting cooperation in the field of environment, ambassador said, hoping that mutual cooperation would further improve in light of efforts by the two countries officials.
