January 31, The Iran Project � In reaction to US President Donald Trump's executive order to ban entry into the country from the Islamic Republic and six other Muslim states, an Iranian senior lawmaker has called it a kind of new racism.

Speaking to a reporter on Tuesday, Mohammad Javad Jamali Nobandegani, a member of parliament�s National Security Council and Foreign Policy Commission said Trump�s measure is inconsistent with the US claims in supporting for human rights.

Such acts of racism will lead to strengthening racist and terrorist Takfiri groups that are trying to make the world an insecure place, added.

On Sunday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani�also slammed the US travel ban against Iranians and nationals from six other Muslim states, stressing that Trump�s measure reveals the �violent and racist attitude� of the US, which is hidden behind the mask of democracy and advocacy for human rights.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian parliamentarian referred to the recent statement of Iranian Foreign Ministry saying Iran will implement the principle of reciprocity until the offensive U.S. limitations against Iranian nationals are lifted, and said although Trump's move does not violate the JCPOA directly, but it is inconsistent with the nuclear deal due to the problems it will make in international relations.

US President Donald Trump on Friday (January 27) signed an executive order blocking entry into the United States for 90 days for citizens from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, and suspending the entry of all refugees for 120 days and barred Syrian refugees indefinitely.
