January 16, The Iran Project Iran says it is capable of dominating ICT export markets in Iraq, Afghanistan and Central Asia.
In a meeting with Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi on Monday, Chairman of Irans Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Gholamhossein Shafei stressed Iran's ability to lead Iraq and Afghanistan and Central Asia's markets in the field of information and communications technology.
He also refereed to Iran's supreme leader, Seyed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei great emphasis on the development of communications and information technology in the country.
Iran has high capacity to develop its IT sector due to its geography and the need of regional countries, so it is hoped that we can further use the private sector's capacity for the development of ICT inside and outside the country, Shafei added.
Touching upon the high potentials of Iranian Chamber of Commerce, he said we can start with the cooperation of public and private sectors.
It should be mentioned that the 22nd round of the International Exhibition of Electronics, Computer and E-Commerce (Elecomp 2016) was held on 15-18 December by the Iranian ICT Guild Organization (IIG) to display the latest achievements in the fields of internet services, datacenters, and startups.
