IRNA - Iran's Deputy Mine, Industry and Trade Minister Mojtaba Khosro-Taj here on Monday described the level of Tehran-Baghdad transactions during the past three years as outstanding .
Talking to IRNA, Khosro-Taj also expressed hope that obstacles on the way of fostering mutual cooperation could be eliminated in near future.
He put the level of Iran-Iraq annual mutual transactions at $ 6.6 billion, adding the figure indicates five percent increase in terms of value during the past nine months of the Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2016).
Touching upon his visit to Iraq which was aimed at holding talks with senior Iraqi officials in ministries of trade, industry and minerals, Khosro-Taj underscored he discussed ways of expanding two countries' all-out ties during the meetings.
He added the Iraqi side is keen on fostering ties with Iran in the fields of silo construction, renovation and supply of machinery and equipment as well as household appliances and construction materials.
