IRAN - Guardian Council Spokesman Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei said here on Saturday that women could become candidate in the upcoming presidential elections in Iran.

Kadkhodaei made the remarks in a press conference in Tehran.

The 12th presidential elections simultaneous with that of Islamic City and Village Councils are to be held nationwide on May 19, 2017.
