MNA� Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi offered condolences to the Russian government and nation over the tragic Tupolev Tu-154 transport plane crash on early Sunday.

Following the crash of a Russian military plane on Sunday in the Black Sea as it made its way to Syria with 91 people onboard,�Ghasemi deplored the tragedy and expressed sympathy with the families of victims.

Tu-154 plane crashed shortly after taking off from the southern city of Adler, south of the Black Sea resort city of Sochi, at 5.40 am local time.

Journalists, military personnel, musicians from�Alexandrov Ensemble, an official army choir of�the Russian armed forces, were onboard.
