IRNA - Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano arrived in Iran on Sunday morning to discuss implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action.


Amano is scheduled to meet Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi as well as Iranian President Hassan Rouhani during his one-day official visit to Tehran.

It is expected that Amano discuss Iran and IAEA cooperation in technical and safeguard fields as well as implementation of the nuclear deal called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

This is the second visit by head of IAEA after implementation of the nuclear deal. Amano paid a visit to Iran on January 17, 2016 a day after implementation of the JCPOA.
