IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani described self-sufficiency in wheat production as a manifestation of the major part of the Economy of Resistance in the country.


Addressing a ceremony held on the occasion of the harvest thanksgiving on Monday, the President said food security guarantees the national security.

'Today, our great nation are witnessing an important move to (the country's) self-sufficiency in the area of food security,' Rouhani said at the ceremony here.

The President further thanked the country's agriculturalists and farmers who, as he said, 'are the pillars of today's pride.'
