At least 45 pro-Hadi troops killed in Aden bomb blast

Press TV- A bomb blast has killed at least 45 soldiers loyal to former President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi in Yemens southern city of Aden.

According to local security officials, 50 soldiers were also injured during the Saturday blast which occurred as a bomber detonated his explosive belt among a large group of soldiers who were waiting for their paychecks in an army base.

In a statement posted over social media sites, the Daesh terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack in the city, which is under the control of Saudi-backed forces. The claim is yet to be verified.

Takfiri militants have been exploiting Saudi Arabias relentless attacks onYemen and are wreaking havoc in various areas in the country.

Saudi Arabia started the Yemen invasion in March 2015 and has sustained the campaign so far at the cost of thousands of Yemeni lives to restore power to Yemens former president Hadi, a steadfast Riyadh ally, who had resigned and fled to the Saudi capital in 2014. He returned to Aden in November 2015.

Four Saudi troops killed in Najran

Meanwhile, at least four Saudi troops were killed in a retaliatory attack by Yemen's Houthi Ansarullah movement and other allied forces.

Several other Saudi troops were also injured in the attack which was launched on a Saudi army base in the kingdoms southern Najran region.

Yemeni forces also launched artillery and rocket attacks at Saudi military gatherings in the southwestern border region of Jizan.

Such attacks are carried out in retaliation for Riyadhs relentless airstrikes on the impoverished nation of Yemen which has left at least 11,400 civilians dead, according to a recent tally by a Yemeni monitoring group.
