IRNA Russia's Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov is scheduled to visit Iran soon for talks on issues of mutual interest, including the ongoing crisis in Syria, according to a senior Foreign Ministry official.
Ebrahim Rahimpour, the deputy foreign minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs, made the remarks speaking to IRNA at the end of his two-day visit to Moscow.
Noting that Tehran-Moscow cooperation in the region, particularly in the area of campaign against terrorism has brought about good achievements, Rahimpour expressed hope that other countries will join Iran and Russia in those regional efforts.
Bogdanov also travelled to Tehran four months ago for talks with Iranian officials on countering international terrorism and finding a lasting settlement to the crisis in Syria.
