Japan's Kawasaki to expand activities in Iran

November 8, The Iran Project EuropeanSales Manager of Japan's Kawasaki Shahrad Ajili announced that the company will expand its activities in Iran and the region if Irans economic conditions improve during post-sanctions era.

Speaking on the sidelines of Irans 16th International Electricity Exhibition (IEE) on Tuesday,Shahrad Ajili said due to political and economic reasons, Iran affects neighboring countries, like Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, so Japan hopes to participate more effectively in these markets in cooperation with Iranian companies.

Iran is one of the most attractive markets in the world butnow is facing with old power plant and electrical systems after years of international sanctions against the country, Ajili noted.

He also said that Japan's Kawasakiis active in all fields of production, including power plants where it produces different types of CHP systems (Combined heat and power production), engines and gas turbines.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he referred to money transfers, banking sanctions and many other sanctions as the problems of participating in Irans markets.

Finally, he reiterated that if Irans economic conditions improve during post-sanctions era, we are trying to participate in Iran'sgrowingmarketof80 millionpeople and the regions market of more than 400 million people.

Irans 16th International Electricity Exhibition (IEE) opened in Tehran on Saturday with representatives of around 650 companies from the Islamic Republic and other countries in attendance.
