Moscow, Oct 28, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on the head of a delegation arrived in Moscow on Friday to attend a trilateral meeting with his Russian and Syrian counterparts on adopting an anti-terror strategy to address regional developments.
During his one day visit, Zarif will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Moallem on issues of mutual relations and also latest regional developments mainly in Syria and Iraq.
Upon his arrival, Zarif was welcomed at the airport by some Russian officials as well as Iran's Ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanaei.
According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, foreign ministers of Iran, Russia and Syria are to closely examine regional developments and the fight against terrorist groups.
The Russian official also said that the parties will discuss preparing grounds for a durable ceasefire in Syria and putting an end to the country's problems by trying to initiate political talks to help resolve the Syrian crisis.
They also review current developments in Iraq and exchange views on fight against Daesh terrorist group, she said.
